Subscription Boxes
Amazing Stories offers subscribers a 10% discount on all comics - even back
issues and trades. All subscriber comics are bagged and boarded at no additional
cost. Another Perk of having a box is that you have the option of getting
PREVIEWS MAGAZINE at the low price of $2.79. Previews is THE wish book
for everything comics. To qualify for this service you will need to subscribe to a
minimum of 5 monthly titles. A $20.00 refundable deposit is required to begin the
service. Your box must be emptied at least once a month or your deposit will be
forfeited and your box will be closed. We simply do not have the space or funds
to allow comics to pile up. If you are more than 4 weeks out, we will attempt to
call you one time and ask that you pick up your comics. It is important to keep
contact info with us up to date.
Pre-Order and Save!
We offer customers the option pre-ordering items that we do not carry, but that
are available from our distributors. Be it board games, miniatures, graphic novels,
or comic apparel - you can order it and save! Pre-Orders are done on a prepaid
basis - for your prepayment you will receive a 10% discount. In stock game items
ordered by Monday usually arrive on Thursday of the same week. Comic item
availability varies - depending on which warehouse location the item ships from -
usually no more than 3 weeks. You can also pre-order items that have not been
released yet. We will give you a call as soon as your order arrives.
Save Even More!
Save an additional 2% when you pay with cash or check instead of your
credit/debit card. Yes subscribers, this means that you can save a total of 12%
when you pay with cash or check!

Frequently Asked Questions

Do You Buy Comics, Cards, or Used RPG'S?

  • COMICS - We are currently in the process of pricing and organizing the
    inventory that we have on hand. On occasion we will buy or trade for high-
    end issues or entire collections.Purchasing or trading of comics is ONLY
    done on Mondays.
  • UPDATE APRIL 1st, 2007 - We are not doing any buying at this
    time.

  • CARDS - We carry many CCG's but we only carry singles for Magic the
    Gathering. We will trade for any Magic singles that we do not currently have
    in stock (Vancouver location only). Customers are encouraged to look
    through the binders to see what we need. Trading for Magic singles is done
    every day EXCEPT  WEDNESDAY.

  • RPG's - Due to space constraints and a soft market, we do not carry used
    RPG's.

  • BUYING/TRADING GUIDELINES - Keep in mind that when we do buy,
    we buy at 25% of what we will sell something for. When we trade, we trade
    at 50% of what we will sell the item for. The only variance for this is if the
    item is a "popular" quick moving item or a "bulk" purchase.


WE DO NOT DEAL IN SPORTS CARDS OR VIDEO GAMES.


Do You Grade Comics? -
We will grade comics for a fee of $2.00 per comic. We had to institute this policy
because of the large number of requests we get off the street from people who
buy piles of comics at garage sales with dreams of getting rich on eBay, but do not
want to invest in a price or grading guide (which we carry). We would suggest that
any collector invest their money and time on these guides because they contain a
wealth of info and will both help you understand the grading process and save you
money in the long run.

When Do New Shipments Arrive?
New comics, trades, magazines, and graphic novels arrive every Wednesday -
Unless there is a holiday at the beginning of the week, which bumps the delivery
day to Thursday. Wednesdays are very hectic and we usually do not have
everything checked in and put on the stands until around 3PM. New games and
supplies arrive Thursdays and Fridays, depending on release dates.
